Department 100th Year "Birthday" Celebration: Come to the Centennial Celebration this Saturday. There are two parts where we'd especially like to see you. First, from 1p-4:30p, several speakers will present talks on a variety of subjects (please see our website for more information: http://www.ou.edu/cas/botany-micro/). We'd appreciate your attendance at any or all of these talks. Then from 5p-7p, we're having a party! At this informal reception, we'll have food and beverages, and we'll be having some fun at the expense of our faculty---that will happen around 5:30p, so don't miss it! If you are coming to the reception, please go to our website and RSVP as soon as possible so we can order the right amount of food and drink. Significant others are welcome! Dept. Scholarship Application: Spring 2007 applications are due TOMORROW, March 8 (awardees announced by March 30). Please announce in class and notify your students that the Department Scholarship Applications are now available. Information & application is posted on our department website at http://www.ou.edu/cas/botany-micro/scholars.shtml.

Graduate Student Annual Evaluation: Evaluations will be administered the next week. Advisors and Students Questionnaire have been put into department mailbox (due TOMORROW, March 8). Please complete the questionnaire & return them to Adell as soon as possible.

SPRING BREAK: March 19 - 23, 2007. There will be no classes during Spring Break, but the OU campus offices will be open.
